Literature Text

When you and Kanda got to the restaurant, you were surprised at how crowded it was. At almost every table, there were couples and people with their friends talking, laughing and just having a good time. When you two walked up to the reservation desk, a woman wearing a black suit and had blonde hair smiled at Kanda.
"Welcome! Table for two?" She asked
   "Yes." Kanda replied
"Then if you would follow this young lady here, she will show you to your seats."
      "Thank-you."
Another woman wearing the same uniform holding two menus stepped forward and smiled.
 "This way." She said
You and Kanda followed her, and on the way to the table you were admiring how people were genuinely enjoying each others company. Several females turned to look at Kanda when he walked past, and when they saw you they gave a cold glare. When you go to your table, there was a man there.
"Excuse me sir, this table is taken." The waitress told him
The man looked at you and Kanda and gave a disturbing smile.
"Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was my table. Please enjoy the rest of your evening." He said
The man got up and walked past you. His shoulder bumped into yours and you instantly knew something was wrong with him. Part of your innocence gives you the ability to tell if someone is an akuma or human through touch. Your innocence was directly at your heart, allowing you to be immune to most things, and almost immortal.
"Hey, are you planning to stand there forever or are you going to sit down?" Kanda asked annoyed
You realized that Kanda had pulled our your chair and was waiting for you to sit down.
    "Sorry!" You exclaimed.
You heard the waitress giggle and you turned red from embarrassment. When you sat down Kanda pushed you in and sat in his own seat. The waitress gave you your menus and took out a pen and pad.
"Drinks are on the back." She said
You flipped to the back and looked at the listed drinks.
'Maybe one alcoholic drink would do me some good.' You thought
"I'll have a fruit margarina please." You told her
"Ok and you?" She asked Kanda
"A glass of water."
The waitress wrote down your orders and left. You looked at the candle in the middle of the table and sighed.
"So mind telling me what that was about ____?"
You glanced up and saw Kanda looking at you intensely.
        "What?" You asked confused
"The man. Why were you standing there looking like you saw a dead person? I have never seen someone turn so pale."
"You know about my innocence. He wasn't human." You said blantly
Kanda still had the blank face he always did.
"He isn't our problem. If he interferes with our mission, then we will take care of him."
"Kanda that isn't what I meant. He isn't human OR an a akuma. I don't know what he is, and we can't let him roam free and possibly hurt people." You argued
 Kanda scoffed.
"Despite what he may be, we have our own problem ____. I know our job is to destroy akuma but our priority is to meet Alma Karma, and find out what he knows."
As soon as he finished talking, the waitress came back with your drinks.
"Do you need more time to place your order or are you ready?" She asked
"I'll just take a ceaser salad." You said.
    "Same." Kanda told her
She wrote down your orders and left once again.
Once she was out of sight you started to open your mouth until Kanda stopped you.
"No ____. We are not going to waste our time looking for someone that we have no information on."
         "But-"
 "No." He said firmly.
You were surprised that he would let something that could harm people go so easily.
"So your just going to let whatever that is go around killing people?" You asked
Kanda waited before answering, choosing his words wisely.
"____ for the last time that isn't our problem. If he gets in out way then we will kill it. I am not going to ignore our mission to go out of my way just to find out more information about it." Kanda stated
You sat back in your chair and stated at him in complete disbelief. He was so serious about his opinion about the man. You took a sip of your drink and that's when your food came. The rest of the dinner was silent, as well as the walk back to the hotel. By the time you two got back it was a little past midnight. Kanda opened the door and walked inside with you in suit. He turned the lights on and collapsed on the couch. You walked over and placed your hand on your hips. Kanda's blue eyes locked with your e/c ones and groaned.
"What is it now?" He asked irritated
"Just wanted to ask if you wanted to shower first." You said
"Go head. I'm too tired to get up right now." He said while putting his arm over his eyes.
You walked away and grabbed your nightgown. The bathroom was extremely amazing. The room had exquisite designs on the walls, and the decor was amazing. The full bath had a removable shower head, and the sink was surrounded with red marble. You walked over to the sink and took off your clothes and placed them on the marble. There was a heater by the toilet that had a stack of rags and towels on it. You turned on the shower and stepped in. You were happy to see that they had good body wash and shampoo waiting for you. You squeezed the body wash onto the rag and started to wash. The soap made you feel like an angel, making your skin extremely smooth. While in the shower, you started to think about the night. Dinner with Kanda was... different. You had never really seen Kanda outside of the Black Order so seeing him in a new light was refreshing. Even though the conversation didn't go as planned, you would gladly do it again. Grabbing the shampoo you put some in your H/C H/L hair. Kanda seemed different tonight. He didn't insult you at all and was even a little bit.. nice. Although you always thought Kanda was nice deep down, it was weird to be treated kind by him. Before you had even realized it, you were putting on your pajamas and about to leave the bathroom. When you came out only one lamp was on, and you saw that Kanda was asleep. You climbed into bed, and you became more tired. A bed had never felt so comfortable to you before in your life. You were about to fall asleep when you felt an increase in heat, which made you fall asleep faster.
~Kanda's POV~
____ looked so peaceful when she was sleeping. Even though her back was to me, I could tell. I had gotten into bed because it was cold, and since we had to look like a couple, it made sense. The mission wasn't going as bad as I thought it would. When I first met her, I thought ___ was clumsy, ignorant, and annoying. Over the past few years I've gotten to know her personally. She was really sweet and has an inner law to help anyone she can, even if it would cost her her life. I admired her for that. Honestly, it wasn't long before I realized that I liked her. ___ stirred and turned around so that she was facing me. Her lips curved into a small smile .
'I wonder what she's thinking about.' I thought.
I was about to fall asleep when something caught my eye; a shadow moving in the darkness of the room. I sat up and narrowed my eyes, trying to get a better look.
"Nice to see you, old friend."
That was the last thing I heard before something hit me on the head, and I blacked out.
