Hidden Feelings P.1 (Kanda X Reader)

 "Yu welcome back!" The red headed boy named Lavi yelled cheerfully

       Kanda, one of the best exorcists of the Black Order came back from a 3 month mission in Egypt. Everyone was excited for him to come back. Lavi who calls Kanda Yu despite Kanda hating it walked up to him and told everyone else to come over. The boy with the cursed eye, Allen was holding his girlfriend Lenalee by the waist. Everyone knew they made a cute couple, and seeing them together made you sad because you wanted the same thing they had. The man that you were crushing hard for would never consider you his girlfriend, and that man was Kanda himself. You had known each other since you came to the Black Order and ever since all the attention he has given you was a simple "hello".

                   "This is stupid. You got excited only to see me come back?" Kanda told everyone.

   He was really distant and cold but everyone still cared about him despite his harsh words. You were sitting on a couch drinking your favorite wine. You watched as Allen and Lavi laughed and Lenalee smiled brightly. You didn't know how to act around Kanda, with his cold aura creeping into your skin.

           "Hey ___ get your butt over here so you can say hi to Yu!" Lavi told you

                   Everyone turned to look at you and your face got red. The feeling of eyes looking at you made you squirm.

   "Hi Kanda. Welcome back." You said softly.

       Really?! Couldn't you say it with more enthusiasm instead of a boring tone you fucking idiot!" You said to yourself mentally

       You looked at him and almost dropped your glass. If it was weird to call a man beautiful you didn't care, because Kanda was the definition of beautiful. His long dark hair that was always kept in a low pony tail was slightly undone, is flawless fair skin had gotten a slight tan, but those dark eyes stayed the same. It was like a black hole filled with mystery that you wanted to solve.

                   "How long are you going to keep on staring at me like that?" Kanda said sharply

   "Oh please in your dreams, you wish I was staring at you." You snapped back

           Lavi broke out laughing with Allen while Lenalee giggled. They knew you liked Kanda so whenever you two would say something about each other they started laughing. You rolled your eyes and took another sip of your wine. Komui, the chief of the European branch of the Black Order came in.

                   "ALLEN WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING TO MY LENALEE!!!!" Komui shouted

       Allen looked down and remembered that his hand was on Lenalee's waist, and they had both agreed that it was best for Komui to not know about them since he was a over protective brother. Allen quickly took his hand away and put it behind his back.

               "N-nothing! It isn't what it looked like." Allen stammered.

   Komui glared at him and looked at his little sister.    

               "If that pervert does anything to you let me know." He smiled

       "Sure...." Lenalee replied

                       "Ah yes, Kanda welcome back. I have a new mission for you and ____." Komui said

               "Aw come on Yu just got back." Lavi whinned

                                       Kanda walked toward Komui and looked at you. You quickly put down your glass and walked with them to the office. Komui's office was on the top floor so it was quite a walk from the lobby.

       "Give me the details about the mission Kanda." Komui said

                                       "The town was mostly empty, with few survivors remaining they explained that akuma had taken over and killed almost everyone. A elderly man explained that it started when the drought happened, and that the healthy males of the town went to find water while the wives stayed home looking after everyone." Kanda said.

                   You scoffed at the last sentence and earned a cold glare from Kanda.

           "What's with that reaction?" He asked

                                                                               Because its stupid that the women stay home and look after everyone. The healthy women should be mixed in there too you know." You told Kanda

       "It is their way. Don't complain to me about it." Kanda scoffed.

                                       "Alright enough you two. You can argue later. Finish your report Kanda." Komui said

           You huffed and walked slightly in front of Kanda which caused him to chuckle softly.

                   "It was 2 days before anyone came back, and out of 21 men only 4 came back. They were yelling about how a monster had killed everyone. Of course the wives of the men would mourn and so more akuma were made, causing a chain reaction. A night after I had gotten there akuma attacked again, but no one has to worry about that for now." Kanda finished.

       Komui nodded and told Kanda that he did an excellent job as you entered Komui's office. You and Kanda stood their quietly while Komui got ready to explain what your mission was.

                                                          "Normally I would keep things like these secret until I thought someone was strong enough, but you two seemed to pass my scale. In North America there is a man named Alama Karma."

           Kanda stiffened at the mention of that name but managed to stay cool.

                       "He went through a lot to contact us and said that more and more akuma were showing up. He's in New York currently and this is a somewhat a covert mission. So we need to give you guys a makeover."

           You didn't like how Komui's voice seemed to brighten up when he said that last sentence. You looked at Kanda who seemed to be in thought. Who was Alama and what connection does he have to Kanda?

           "But isn't the North American Branch in Nevada?" Kanda asked Komui

                                   "It is. It's strange I know but we cant pass this up."

       "So when you say makeover does that mean we have to get like new hair colors or something?" You asked. You were quite found of your H/L H/C hair.

                       Komui laughed. "No nothing that extreme. Just some different clothes and new hairstyle."

       Phew...

                                       "Now go and pack your bags. I'll have someone give you a new look."

       Both you and Kanda walked out of Komui's office and walked to your rooms. They were right next to each other which meant you had a little time to try to talk to him.

                           "Kanda, when Komui said Alama Karma, you tensed up. Is everything ok?" You asked

       Kanda kept his eyes straight.

           "Why are you looking at me closely enough to assume I tensed up? If I did it doesn't concern you so mind your business." He replied

                       "Ok you know what?! I'm noticing because your my friend and I worry about friends. So whatever." You yelled. You pushed past him and walked quickly to your room.

           Damn, he's right next to me though so rushing off did no good. You thought to yourself        

        You opened your door and quickly shut it so you wouldn't have to see Kanda.

                   Your room didn't really have any décor, except for some pillows, a desk, and posters of your favorite band and movies.

   You walked to your closet and grabbed a briefcase and started to pack your favorite clothes, your tooth brush, hair brush, lotion and things like that.

               When your were packing your clothes you remembered the first time you came to the Black Order. Allen and Lenalee were the first to greet you and make you feel like home. You all were eating lunch when Lavi came to introduce himself, and since then he's been trying to convince you to be his girlfriend. You were close to saying yes but when your eyes fell on Kanda, you lost all interest in Lavi. Allen explained that Kanda was distant and cold but a good friend. Lavi called him "Yu', which you assumed was his first name and saw that he hated it. You've spoken to Kanda on few occasions but never more than twenty seconds. You were thinking about how many times you blushed just by looking at him when a knock at your door made you jump. You quickly zipped your luggage and went to the door to see Lenalee holding lots of hair and makeup supplies with a rack of clothes behind her.

       "What the hell are you doing with all of that?" You asked surprised.

               Lenalee laughed and used one of her hands to bring in the rack of clothes along with the makeup and hair supplies.

   "My brother asked me to give you a makeover. I'm not sure who is doing Kanda...maybe he's giving himself a new look I don't know. But your stuck with me I hope that's ok." She said

                                   You smiled. "Of course it's ok. I just didn't expect all of that." You said gesturing to the stuff she brought.

           She laughed and sorted everything into categories.  

   "Since you and Kanda are going to New York, which is a famous city, we need to get you to look modern, sexy and chic."

               "Wait why sexy? The modern and chic will be fine." You told her while slightly frightened.

       "Well your going on a mission with Kanda, the man you have been crushing over for years now. Four I think. So you want to look your best but not look to trashy." Lenalee explained.

               She had a point.

       "Ok so what are you picking out then?"

                               "Oh nothing much, just some shampoo and conditioner, natural looking makeup, and a silver off the shoulder top, black jeans, a leather jacket and some earrings."

                   "That doesn't sound bad. Give me the shampoo and conditioner, I'm about to shower." You told her

       She did as you asked and you headed for the shower. The hot water felt really good, and knowing that you weren't going to be able to take a good long shower like that in long time so you took your time. You closed your eyes and breathed in the steam.

           Kanda!!!

               You opened your eyes and listened to your surroundings, waiting to hear something else. After a while when you didn't hear anything again you closed your eyes again and relaxed your nerves.

       If you touch her I'll make sure you die for good!

   You opened your eyes again and this time you were positive you heard something. You turned off the water and grabbed a towel to wrap around your body and you h/l h/c hair. You walked out the bathroom and saw Lenalee sitting on your bed looking at a dress.

   "Did you hear something?" You asked her

                   Lenalee looked up and shook her head.

       "No. It's been quiet except the fact that Lavi keeps on calling you." She told you

   "Are you sure? Because I swore I heard people yelling."

               Lenalee shrugged her shoulders and you just chose not to say anything else. You grabbed the clothes Lenalee took out for you and headed back into the bathroom. The mirror was fogged up but you could see your reflection clearly enough. You took off the towel that was wrapped around your head and started to blow dry it. Since it was New York you wanted to give your hair loose curls but keep the majority of your hair straight. It didn't take you long to put on the clothes and finish your hair. When you came back out Lavi, Allen and Lenalee were talking.

                           "Wow, you look beautiful." Lavi said when he saw you

       "Thanks Lavi. Shouldn't you boys be with Kanda?" You asked

                                                                   Allen rubbed his neck and Lavi gave a nervous chuckle.

                   "We went to his room first and we nearly lost our lives." Allen told you

                                                                   "And now it's time for you to go boys. It's makeup time." Lenalee said

   She gave Allen a quick kiss on his cheek and pushed both him and Lavi out the room.

                           "Alright lets get this going. All I'm going to do is add some eye makeup and lip gloss."

           You sat on your bed while Lenalee did your makeup. She didn't take long and like she said, it looked very natural. You thanked her and you both left your room with your luggage and went to Komui's office. Kanda was leaning on a pillar with his suitcase by him. He didn't change his appearance much; his long dark black/blue hair was in a low loose ponytail, which made several strands of hair fall out of place, and he wore glasses that were most likely just plain glass. He had on a brown T-shirt, leather jacket, jeans and combat boots. His innocence, Mugen was in a separate bag. Komui looked at you and cleared his throat.

               "Alright now that you both are ready there will be a train waiting for you to take you to the boat that will take you to New York. Thank you Lenalee for helping."

       Lenalee waved at her brother before leaving. Kanda was staring at you, not saying a word. When you turned to face him, he was already getting ready to leave.

   This should be fun...  You thought while grabbing your stuff and running behind Kanda.

               You wondered what your mission would turn out to be like.
